1.  Harvest Festival:  Instead of trick-or-treating this year, bring your children to our Harvest Festival at Arise for a safe, family-friendly celebration full of games, treats, music, costumes, and joy—all with a heart of gratitude to God's provision.

Date: 10/31 Friday

Time: 7pm - 8:30pm

Activities: Mini carnival games, Trunk-or-Treat, jump houses, face paint, balloon twisting & snack/drink

Fee: Free

2. Operation Christmas Child:  Every year, Arise participates in the shoebox campaign, sending gifts and God's love to children around the globe. This year, individuals and small groups are encouraged to participate again.

• Please pick up gift boxes and place gifts suitable for children of different ages, such as toys, stationery, and daily necessities. Do not place food, toothpaste, vitamins, liquids, or breakable items. Do not seal the shoebox.

• Please place a shipping label on the shoebox, indicating the child's age and gender. Use the QR code on the label or donate $10 per box toward the shipping fee on the Samaritan's Purse website.

• Church collection period is from Sunday, November 9th to 23rd. You are also welcome to join us for our packing party on Nov 9 after service in the MPR where we acquire different items separately and pack the boxes together. Everyone is welcome to join us and to donate the cost of the gifts and shipping. Please contact Angela for more information.

3. English Ministry Lunch & Chat: On Sunday Nov 16 we will have our English Ministry All Hands Thanksgiving Potluck Lunch & Chat Part 2. Everyone is welcome to join us. Please bring a dish to share for lunch. We will continue our conversation on the status and direction of our English Ministry. If you have any questions or feedback please reach out to any EM leaders.

4. Membership Ceremony: If you have already been baptized in other churches and have been attending Arise for a period of time, you are invited to consider joining Arise Church as a member. A membership class will be held in mid-November, and our new member ceremony will be held on December 21. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Edwin or church leaders.

5. 2026 Church Leadership Open Nomination:  Candidates must be active members, nominated by one active member, supported by ten active members, and approved by the Nominating Committee. Please submit nominations to the Nominating Committee by November 16th. The positions up for election include: Governing Board, Facilities, Finance, Trustees, Children and Young Families, Hospitality, Small Groups, and Spiritual Formation.

6. Christmas Orchestra and Choir Recruitment: We are now recruiting orchestral and choir members for our Christmas worship service on December 21st. For inquiries and signing up, please contact David or Dorothy.

7. Cambodia Short Term Mission Trip: October is our Missions Month. We hope you have been learning more about the different missions ministry Arise is involved with. Our church is planning to organize another short-term missions trip to Cambodia next year. The trip will be from June 12-21, 2026. For more information and signup, please contact Pui Pui Cheng.
