1. Lent :   Lent is a 40-day season of preparation before Easter. Lent season traditionally focuses on 3 key practices: Prayer, Fasting (meaning an abstention from food, entertainment, or habits), and Almsgiving which means special attention to giving to those who are less fortunate. This year, Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, Feb 18. We invite you to join us in observing Lent this year. You can start thinking about what you can give up this year for Christ.

2. Cambodia fundraiser:  From June 12th to 20th, our Cambodia short-term mission team will be ministering to local children and women. We invite you to the team's first fundraising event, "Food Sale." Everyone is welcome to go to the cafe and purchase various foods after worship on Sunday, March 1st.

3. Family meeting:  The meeting will be held on March 8th to discuss the vacant unit's remodeling. Our church Governing Board has shared the preliminary design of the space for our congregation to review and comment. You can post your comments directly on the document, deposit them in the collection box, or email them to governing-board@arisechurch.us. The preliminary design can be accessed from our Linktree.

4. Easter Sunday:  April 5 will be an all-church combined worship. If you are interested in joining our Easter celebration choir or orchestra, please get in touch with Dorothy or David ASAP.

5. Easter Baptism:  Baptism is a public declaration of one's commitment to follow Christ and an act of joining the church. If you are considering attending Easter baptism on Sunday, April 5th, please contact any English Ministry leaders ASAP.

6. Summer Camp:  Arise summer camp will be held on August 7th–9th at Redwood Christian Park. The theme of this retreat is "In His Footsteps, In His Service." We will explore together how to build a community that loves God and others. On Sunday, March 1st, we will be accepting priority registration for seniors and young families in the lobby outside the sanctuary. Registration for general Arise participants will begin on March 15th. Please pick up the registration form at church, or download this registration form.

7. Mission Sharing Luncheon:  Arise-supported missionary Pastor Ken Jung will be coming to Arise on Sunday, March 15th. He will first preach in the combined worship service in the sanctuary. After the service, he will share in the MPR; the topic is: "Find Your Place in Global Missions". We will provide lunch. Please sign up at church so we can prepare enough food. Donations for lunch are welcome.
