1. Prayer: The Legacy of Faith:  The beginning of the year at Arise Church, we are focusing on “Prayer: A Legacy of Faith” as a theme. Besides Sunday sermons, we will have a “Prayer Experience Day” once a month from January to April. The goal is to deepen understanding of different prayer methods and to unite the entire church in prayer. We will be joined by the Cantonese congregation. You are all welcome to attend. These Prayer Experience Sundays will be on the 4th Sundays of each month.

This month we will learn and practice the prayer styles from Revival Prayer Group (RPG). Come and find out and experience this prayer time together.

January Prayer Experience Day

Date: Sunday, January 25 (4th Sunday)

Time: 12–1 p.m.

2. Saturday Arise Zone Activities: The following two interest classes are held on Saturday mornings.  Registration form

a) January 31st Crochet Class -Cowl Scarf, $10 material fee (pay in the class). Time from 8:45-10:15 AM or 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM. Registration deadline: January 24th.

b) February 7th Easy Tax Filing Seminar - How to easily file taxes, tax filing tips. Free! Time from 10:00-11:00 AM.

3. 2025 Offering Receipts:  Receipts will be distributed outside the sanctuary lobby on 1/25. Please walk over to the sanctuary lobby to get yours. 

4. Celebrating Lunar New Year: We will be celebrating Lunar New Year on Feb 15th after Sunday worship. We will enjoy Chinese-style New Year's snacks together. We are asking for snack contributions: 8" size cakes (sliced and ready to eat) : turnip cakes, taro cakes, and rice cakes and 12 oz bags of Deep Fried food: Peanut Puffs and Sesame Cookie Balls. On the morning of the event before the service, please place the snacks at the kitchen window; hospitality team members will assist in warming them up in the oven. Please go to the lobby outside the sanctuary on Sunday to sign up for the food you can bring.

5. Pastoral Search Committee: We are in the process of forming the search committee for a new English adult ministry Pastor. If you have any feedback or questions feel free to contact Francis or Pui Pui. We aim to form the committee by mid-January.
