INTO THE COMMUNITY
Highlights
In 2019, to celebrate Arise Church’s 25th anniversary, we set an ambitious goal of serving our community for 2,500 hours within the year. Our congregation surpassed this target, dedicating a total of 3,393 hours of service. More than 70% of our members, both young and old, participated in various activities.

Food Banks
Members of Arise Church have actively engaged in efforts to alleviate hunger within our community. Teams regularly visit local food banks, including:
- Tri-City Foodbank
- Alameda County Community Foodbank
- Sacred Heart Foodbank
- Second Harvest Foodbank
Street Ministry
Our street ministry focuses on visiting unhoused residents, particularly those living in RVs. Volunteers bring food, offer companionship, and provide prayer support, fostering connections and dignity for those we serve.

Serving the Community
Arise Church congregants respond to community needs as they arise. Notable projects include:
- Habitat for Humanity (2018, 2019): Rebuilding efforts following the Santa Rosa fire.
- Community Kitchen: Providing meals to those in need.
- Blessings Bags: Giving to individuals at sidewalks.
- Park and Shoreline Cleanups and planting trees: Engaging in environmental stewardship.
- Emergency Tents and School Supplies: Donated to local high schools to support students in need.
Overseas Kids
Our commitment extends beyond local needs. Each year, the Arise congregation prepares Christmas shoeboxes for children in underprivileged countries. In November 2024, we assembled 220 boxes. Additionally, we participated in the Kids Against Hunger food packaging event, where approximately 100 congregants came together to prepare food packages for kids.

Mission Trips
Arise Church organizes short-term mission trips to Cambodia and supports various mission trips led by other organizations to Mexico, Japan, and children’s summer camps across the United States. These experiences deepen our members' understanding of global needs and foster a spirit of service.
